DJ Vivy B, is a highly respected figure in the music industry with a Career in the male dominated Industry spanning over 4 decades, DJ Vivy B has been spinning tunes since the early 80s, where her career began on the pirate radio station scene. Beginning with a pair of technic 1200 turntables and a collection of Vinyl. Vivy's Love for soul music was about to take her on a life time journey, spinning through time setting 100s of dance floors ablaze along the way !
Her journey into the world of music began at the age of seven when she started collecting 7-inch singles from WH Smiths, igniting a lifelong passion for vinyl and DJing.
In the early '80s, Vivy B found herself drawn to pirate radio stations, where she was given the opportunity to showcase her talent.
In 1994, Vivy B founded Soul Network, with her then partner Mikee Holmes (RIP) a prestigious club night that has become a staple in the London Soul music scene, hosting events at various venues and attracting music enthusiasts from around the world. It was during this time that her career took off, and she quickly gained recognition for her infectious energy and exceptional mixing skills.
With Soul Network, Vivy B created a platform to showcase her love for soul and R&B music, solidifying her reputation as a pioneer in the industry.
In 2006, Vivy B expanded her passion for music to the Algarve, where she established a week-long soul holiday in Portugal, called Soul in the Algarve after a decade of successful events in Portugal Vivy introduced an amazing addition Soul in the Algarve's very own carnival. SITA CARNIVAL which has in its self grown into a HUGE successful annual event.
This event quickly became a beloved tradition, drawing attendees from far and wide to experience the magic of soul music in the beautiful Algarve.
Furthermore, in 2010, Vivy B extended her reach to the Caribbean, Barbados, where she hosted two events in 2010 & 2012 Called Soul in the Caribbean. Then again in 2022 with a HUGE version, brinning over 700 people over from the UK & taking over the Hilton Hotel in Barbados. On top of that hosting a Carnival, along Highway 7 from The Hilton to the Boat yard & and a show at the famous Oistins Friday fish fry. Which is still talks about by locals to this day.
As the Director of these esteemed companies, Vivy B continues to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation, cementing her legacy as one of the most influential DJs and event organizers of her generation.
